Benedicta met her husband, Dennis, in November, 2007 while he was doing conference and crusade meetings in Lagos, Nigeria, where she lived at that time. She was invited by a friend to attend the meetings, and felt led to videotape much of the activities of the program. At that time both she and Dennis had been praying for a spouse, both wanting someone who could be an asset to their ministry. Dennis could hardly have ignored the tall, beautiful Nigerian lady who seemed nearly omnipresent with her camcorder, quietly recording many hours of his preaching, along with the singing, and other aspects of the meetings. When God providentially made a way for the two to meet, Dennis could not help but voice his interest in her, having found out that she was single. Love blossomed through many, many iternational phone calls, and eventually the two were married.
Dennis had been preaching and teaching in African missions since 2004. Almost since his early days as a Christian he had dreamed of preaching and evangelizing in city-wide meetings, along the lines of the evangelists of the past. Having fed on the words and deeds of men like D. L. Moody, John Wesley, Charles Finney, and others during his spiritual infancy, he came to have a tremendous heart for evangelism. His attempts at evangelistic meetings in the U. S. yielded little satisfactory results, butwhen God opened the doors for Dennis to preach in Africa, he found the fields were truly "ripe for harvest." After marrying Benedicta, to Dennis' delight he quickly discovered that she not only had a heart for ministry and evangelism - she has a genuine gift in these areas. She was every bit as much a preacher as he was!
Dennis not only preaches in evangelistic meetings. He also has a gift to write and teach. You can read huge numbers of devotional articles (or listen to them in mp3 format) on the Spirit of Grace website: www.spiritofgrace.org. Dennis has also written two best-selling books about bringing high blood sugar under control, which have been published by Harvest House Publishers. The latest book, 60 Ways to Lower Your Blood Sugar, may be found in many stores and on Amazon today.
